Job summary

Lancaster Behavioral Health Hospital is hiring Registered Nurses (RN) for full-time temporary positions on day shift (7a - 7:30p, every other Saturday and Sunday) for a 3-6 month temp assignment with the potential to become full-time after the temp period. This role offers $60 per hour plus shift differential and is based in Lancaster, PA.

The hospital is a 126-bed inpatient psychiatric facility with opportunities for growth and professional development within a nationwide network of UHS nursing

Qualifications

• Active State of Pennsylvania RN license required.
• CPR certification required upon hire.
• Psychiatric/behavioral health nursing experience helpful but not required.
• Candidates employed by any UHS facility within the last 6 months are not eligible for the temporary position.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient psychiatric nursing care on the day shift.
• Temp assignment with potential to transition to full-time after 3–6 months.
• Adhere to unit policies, patient safety practices, and care plans while supporting patients and families.

$60 per hour + shift differential

Lancaster Behavioral Health Hospital (LBHH) is a 126-bed, inpatient psychiatric hospital and start-up joint venture between Lancaster General Health/Penn Medicine and Universal Health Services.

In addition to a general adult unit and dedicated adolescent unit, the facility will also offer services for treating those with co-occurring disorders on the psychiatric-medical unit, an intensive adult unit to care for those with severe conditions, as well as a women’s trauma unit.

What Does LBHH Require for this Role?

• A valid State of Pennsylvania Nursing (RN) (Registered Nurse) License is required.
• Previous psychiatric, behavioral or mental health nursing experience is helpful but not required.
• CPR certification is required upon hire and will be provided at orientation if needed.
• Candidates employed by any UHS facility within the last 6 months are not eligible for the temporary position.
