Job summary

Research Medical Center is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team. In this role, you will assess patient conditions on admission and during shifts, administer prescribed medications, document care, and monitor responses to treatment.

You’ll respond promptly to patient needs and educate patients and families about care plans, medications, and follow-up steps. The position emphasizes compassionate patient-centered care with adherence to clinical policies and documentation standards,

Qualifications

• Active Basic Cardiac Life Support certification.
• Licensed RN in the required state.
• Registered Nurse Diploma or equivalent.
• No travel required for this role.

Responsibilities

• Assess the patient’s condition during admission and each shift, reporting changes promptly.
• Administer medications and document care in the medical record, monitor therapeutic response, and manage adverse reactions.
• Provide prompt, compassionate patient care and address requests while anticipating needs.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatment plans, medications, potential side effects, and follow-up steps.

What you will do in this role:

• Assess the patient's condition during admission and each scheduled shift, promptly identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
• Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s), and ensure thorough and timely documentation of care administration in the patient's medical record. - Administer prescribed medications, monitor the patient for therapeutic response, and take appropriate action in the event of an unintended response to the medication.
• Provide exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests, proactively anticipating patient needs, and resolving them.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers about the patient's medical condition, treatment plan, medications, possible side effects, and follow-up measures, ensuring complete understanding by translating complex medical terminology.
