Job summary

Avita Ontario Hospital in Ontario, OH seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) to join the MedSurg Department on a regular part-time basis, night shift. The role includes assessing and planning patient care, ensuring continuity across shifts, and teaching patients and families.

Qualified candidates hold Ohio RN licensure with current BLS and ACLS. Preferred candidates have 2+ years’ experience, telemetry exposure, and PALS for charge trained nurses.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio.
• Current BLS & ACLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates the nursing care of patients within the nursing unit.
• Ensures continuity of care between shifts by providing direct care and supervising nursing staff.

We’re currently seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our MedSurg Department at our Ontario location.

Position Overview

Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates the nursing care of patients within the nursing unit. Responsible for ensuring continuity of care of the patients between shifts by providing direct care as well as supervising the care given by nursing assistants, LPNs and supportive staff members. Participates in patient and family teaching. Maintains role as patient advocate with a focus on the organization’s mission.

Qualifications

Required:

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio.
• Current BLS & ACLS certification.

Preferred:

• Two (2) or more years of previous nursing experience.
• Previous telemetry experience.
• PALS certification. (For charge trained nurses.)
