Job summary

Avita Health System is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join the MedSurg Department at the Galion location. This role involves assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating nursing care while ensuring continuity of care across shifts.

Required Ohio RN licensure with BLS & ACLS; 2+ years nursing experience and telemetry experience preferred. PALS may be required for charge trained nurses; Avita offers extensive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio.
• Current BLS & ACLS certification.
• Two (2) or more years of nursing experience preferred.
• Telemetry experience preferred.
• PALS certification preferred for charge trained nurses.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care for patients in the MedSurg unit.
• Ensure continuity of care between shifts by supervising nursing assistants, LPNs and support staff.
• Participate in patient and family teaching and advocate for the patient in line with the organization’s mission.

We’re currently seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our MedSurg Department at our Galion location.

Position Overview

Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates the nursing care of patients within the nursing unit. Responsible for ensuring continuity of care of the patients between shifts by providing direct care as well as supervising the care given by nursing assistants, LPNs and supportive staff members. Participates in patient and family teaching. Maintains role as patient advocate with a focus on the organization’s mission.

Qualifications

Required:

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio.
• Current BLS & ACLS certification.

Preferred:

• Two (2) or more years of previous nursing experience.
• Previous telemetry experience.
• PALS certification. (For charge trained nurses.)
