Job summary

North Alabama Shoals Hospital, part of Lifepoint Health, in Muscle Shoals, AL, seeks an RN in Medical-Surgical to deliver patient-centered care and lead the plan of care using our advanced technology. You will collaborate with the care team to ensure safe, effective treatment and compassionate support for patients and families.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in nursing required; bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
• BCLS required.
• ACLS, PALS, and Handle with Care preferred; must be obtained within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments.
• Documents patient care provided; timely and accurate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living, including hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family; timely and accurate QI assessments.
