Sovah Health - Danville is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Medical Surgical/Post Op unit, daytime shifts. The position offers a $20,000 sign-on eligibility and an hourly range of $31.49–$42.51. The unit features a 12-bed Medical/Surgical and Post-Op environment with a 1:5-6 nurse‑to‑patient ratio.

Applicants must have Virginia RN licensure, an associate degree in nursing, and BLS; a Bachelor's may be preferred. Benefits, educational support, and career growth opportunities are included.

• Active Virginia RN license (single-state) or compact license required.
• Associate's degree in nursing required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) required or preferred.

Responsabilités

• Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments.
• Documents patient care and monitors patient condition, communicating with care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living, including hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Coordinates patient care across disciplines, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and support needs.
• Provides patient and family education appropriate to age, culture, and circumstances.
• Advocates for the physical and emotional well‑being of patients.
• Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.

What we're looking for

Applicants should have an active Virginia RN license (single-state) or compact license. If relocating, licensure must be updated to the new Primary State of Residence (PSOR) before employment begins.Associate's degree in nursing required.
