Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis, Missouri is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Med Surg 5E. This role focuses on delivering high-quality patient care using the nursing process and collaborating with the care team to evaluate and coordinate patient plans.
We welcome both new graduate nurses and experienced RNs to apply. This full-time position involves a 36-hour work week across day shifts (7:00am–7:00pm) with a sign-on bonus program for experienced nurses up to $10,000 and for new graduates
Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and mercy service standards.

Med Surg 5E cares for adult medical patients with diagnoses such as small bowel obstructions, respiratory infections, cellulitis, diverticulitis, and pneumonia. This unit provides an excellent environment to strengthen core Med Surg skills, enhance assessment abilities, and manage patients with diverse medical needs.

Education:Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with one of the following:
Licensure:Must hold and maintain a current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri or possess compact licensure, in accordance with state board of nursing regulations.
Experience:Previous hospital experience is preferred and may be required depending on the unit.
