Job summary

Mercy Hospital South in Missouri is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver patient care using the nursing process and to coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams. The role requires a Missouri RN license (or compact licensure) with BLS certification, and may require prior hospital experience depending on the unit.

Schedule is full-time, 36 hours per week, with nights (7:00pm–7:00am). Sign-on bonuses of $10,000 for new grads and $20,000 for RNs with 1+ years of experience are available.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with one of the listed qualifications.
• Must hold and maintain a current RN license in Missouri or compact licensure.
• BLS certification required or to be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Previous hospital experience preferred depending on unit.

Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Qualifications

Education:Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with one of the following:

• Associate Degree in Nursing
• Nursing Diploma
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Licensure:Must hold and maintain a current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri or possess compact licensure, in accordance with state board of nursing regulations.

Experience:Previous hospital experience is preferred and may be required depending on the unit.

Certifications:

• Required:Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association, or completion within 30 days of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

• Education:BSN preferred
• Licensure:Additional state licensure or specialty certifications preferred
• Experience:Prior experience in specialty area or similar clinical setting

Physical Requirements

• Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly
• Prolonged standing and walking throughout the shift
• Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed to perform nursing duties
