Job summary

Pascack Valley Medical Center in Westwood, NJ is seeking a day shift, full-time Registered Nurse for Medical Surgical 3 West. The RN will plan and deliver direct and indirect patient care, coordinate nursing care plans with patients and families, and communicate changes in condition with the medical team.

Requirements include NLN/AACN accredited nursing program completion, NJ RN license (or NCL multistate), and BLS certification within 14 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Graduate of NLN/AACN accredited nursing program.
• RN license valid in New Jersey (NJ Board of Nursing) or multistate license under NCL.
• BLS certification obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role.
• Preferred: 1 year in an acute care hospital setting.
• Preferred: BSN, and familiarity with patient safety best practices.

Responsibilities

This position is responsible for planning and delivery of direct and indirect patient care, developing nursing care plan in coordination with patient, family and interdisciplinary staff as necessary and communicating changes in patient’s clinical condition with Physicians, Nursing Supervisor/Manager, and co-workers as appropriate.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• Graduate of a NLN/AACN accredited program in nursing
• Registered Nurse (RN) with New Jersey Board of Nursing or RN Multistate License from the NCL.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Rate of pay is determined based on experience and education and may include other pay components such as differentials and call pay based on role.
