Job summary

Ardent Health Services in Montclair, NJ is seeking a Night shift, full-time Medical Surgical Registered Nurse. The role requires at least 2 years of acute care Med-Surg experience, NLN-accredited nursing education, and current BLS certification within 14 days of hire. Preference for a Bachelor’s degree in nursing.

The RN will provide nursing care in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act and ANA ethics, contributing to high-quality patient outcomes in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

• NLN-accredited School of Nursing required.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical medical/surgical experience in an acute care setting.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in nursing.

Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse Medical/Surgical (Bariatrics/Oncology) will be responsible for providing nursing care within the scope of practice defined by the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards and assures awareness of ethical standards of practice as defined by the ANA code of ethics.
