Job summary

Ardent Health Services is seeking a day shift, full-time Day Surgery (OR) Registered Nurse in Westwood, NJ. The role focuses on episodic ambulatory care for patients before and after same-day procedures, with emphasis on promoting health and self-management.

Requirements include NJ RN licensure, BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications, and 1+ years of Medical-Surgical nursing experience. Preferred candidate will hold a BSN. Compensation is based on experience and education.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• 1+ years’ experience working as a Medical Surgical Nurse.
• New Jersey RN license.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• ACLS certification.
• PALS certification.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree of Science in Nursing.

• This Registered Nurse (RN) is a specialized ambulatory care nurse, defined as a nurse who provides episodic care to patients for 24 hours or less in many different settings.
• The RN cares for patients before and after same-day surgery and some patients undergoing outpatient procedures.
• They also use cost-effective ways to assist patients in promoting health, preventing disease, and managing chronic or acute health problems.
• Finally, the RN promotes self-management and assists family members or friends in caring for their loved ones.
