Job summary

Centerpoint Health - Paris in Kentucky is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for Market Emergency. This full-time night shift at Paris & Winchester locations offers a $10,000 sign-on bonus and a 3x12 schedule with rotating weekends.

As an RN, you will administer medications, document care, monitor patient status, assist with activities of daily living, coordinate across disciplines, and educate patients and families.

Qualifications

  • Current RN license in the state; KY compact licensure acceptable.
  • Associate's degree in nursing required; BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Performs plan of care interventions including medication administration and clinical treatments.
  • Documents patient care provided in the medical record.
  • Monitors and communicates patient condition to care team, physicians, patients, and families.
  • Assists patients with activities of daily living and care needs.
  • Collaborates across disciplines for patient transfer, discharge, and support needs.
  • Evaluates learning needs and provides patient/family education.
  • Advocates for patient physical and emotional well-being.

Location: Centerpoint Paris & Winchester

Job Type: Full Time | Nights

Schedule: 3x12 (7p-7a) Rotating Weekends

How you'll contribute
  • Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.
  • Documents patient care given.
  • Monitors, records, assesses and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.
  • Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
  • Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
  • Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
  • Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.

What we're looking for
  • Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess a degree from an accredited nursing school.
  • Associate's degree in nursing, required
  • KY RN state licensure or compact licensure, required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 1 month of hire & Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 1 month of hire
  • TNCC within 1 year hire
  • Handle with care or equivalent in 120 days of hire
  • CEN within 2 years of hire date
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing, preferred
  • ENPC preferred
  • NRP preferred
