Job summary

Lifepoint Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Market Emergency at Centerpoint Paris and Winchester. Join a nationwide healthcare network delivering compassionate care with a mission to make communities healthier.

This full-time night shift role offers a $10,000 sign-on bonus and a schedule of 3x12s with rotating weekends. You will provide direct patient care, administer medications, document care, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support patients and families during

Qualifications

• Applicants must have a current state RN license and a degree from an accredited nursing school.
• Associate's degree in nursing is required.
• KY RN license or compact licensure is required.
• BLS and ACLS within 1 month of hire; PALS within 1 month of hire.
• TNCC within 1 year of hire.
• Handle with care or equivalent within 120 days.
• CEN within 2 years of hire.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing is preferred.
• ENPC and NRP are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs plan of care interventions including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments.
• Documents patient care provided.
• Monitors and communicates patient condition to care team, physicians, patient and family.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living and personal care.
• Collaborates across disciplines for patient care and transfers/discharges.
• Provides education to patient/family appropriate to age, culture, condition.
• Advocates for patients' physical and emotional wellbeing.

Our Market Emergency RNs are adaptable professionals who work at both Centerpoint - Winchester & Centerpoint - Paris.

How You'll Contribute

• Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.
• Documents patient care given.
• Monitors, records, assesses and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
• Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.

What We're Looking For

Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess a degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:

• Associate's degree in nursing, required
• KY RN state licensure or compact licensure, required
• Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 1 month of hire & Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 1 month of hire
• TNCC within 1 year hire
• Handle with care or equivalent in 120 days of hire
• CEN within 2 years of hire date
• Bachelor's degree in nursing, preferred
• ENPC preferred
• NRP preferred
