Job summary

UP Health System - Marquette is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Manager Endoscopy to lead the Endoscopy department and ensure high-quality patient care. You will collaborate with physicians and staff to optimize operations and patient flow.

The role requires a Michigan RN license and an associate degree in nursing, with a bachelor’s degree preferred. BLS-HCP and ACLS within 1 year, 2+ years nursing experience, and 7+ years managerial experience preferred.

• Associate's degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's preferred.
• BLS for Healthcare Provider certification.
• ACLS certification within 1 year.
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience; 7 years managerial experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee Endoscopy department operations and ensure quality patient care.
• Manage staff scheduling, performance management, recruitment and payroll tasks.
• Monitor budgets, contracts, and vendor relations for the department.
• Coordinate interdepartmental patient care and ensure evidence-based practices.
• Foster professional growth and drive continuous improvement.

Our PACU team supports twelve (12) ORs, providing safe, vigilant post‑operative care and ensuring smooth, secure patient transitions after anesthesia.

How you'll contribute

• Assists with developing specific department goals standards, and objectives which directly support the strategic plan and vision of the organization.
• Manages staff relations including performance management, staff satisfaction, and conflict management. Performs and oversees scheduling, staff development, recruitment, payroll, and student engagements.
• Monitors departmental budgets, regulatory compliance, departmental contracts, and vendor relations. Determines and justifies needs for systems/equipment/supplies purchase, monitors usage, and oversee proper working order and/or stock supplies.
• Assesses the quality of patient care delivered and coordinates patient care services with patients, staff, physicians, and other departments. May provide patient care when necessary.
• Creates and fosters an environment that encourages professional growth.
• Integrates evidence-based practices into operations and clinical protocols.

What we're looking for

Applicants should have a current Michigan RN license and possess an associate's degree from an accredited nursing school (bachelor's preferred).

• Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS-HCP)
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) (within 1 year)
• 2-years nursing experience
• 7-years managerial experience (preferred)
