Carilion Clinic in Roanoke, Virginia, seeks a Registered Nurse for the Labor and Delivery unit during the night shift. The RN will provide direct patient care, coordinate with the care team, and document in the EMR. Must be able to work in a fast-paced, family-centered setting.

Required BSN or eligibility for VA RN licensure, BLS, and EPIC experience. In-person role with competitive night differentials and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of school of professional nursing or accredited program eligible to sit for VA licensure.
• Licensed RN in Virginia or eligible for Virginia RN licensure.
• Experience with electronic medical records is preferred.

As part of the health care team, RNs assume primary accountability for nursing coordination and provision of individualized care for patients of all ages. The registered nurse also utilizes delegation and critical thinking skills to provide quality service through a team oriented, collaborative approach to patient care.* Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care in order to achieve optimum patient outcomes for patients of all ages as appropriate to service area.* Age specific admission and ongoing assessments are completed, documented and used to develop a plan of care.* Collaborates with members of the health care team/patient/family to develop, implement, and evaluate an age-specific interdisciplinary plan of care. May be required to obtain/maintain BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP based on specific work unit. **Other:** Computer skills required for electronic medical record (EPIC).**Compensation Range:**$33.52 - $50.28*Employee pay is based on a variety of factors, including qualifications, credentials, education, and prior work experience.
