Qualifications

• Graduate of a State Board of Nursing approved program.
• Current Virginia RN license or eligibility to obtain licensure.
• BLS-HCP certification required; ACLS/PALS/NRP may be required depending on area.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized nursing care across age groups with assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure safe, effective outcomes.
• Administer treatments and medications and document in EMR.
• Educate patients and families and participate in quality initiatives.
• Support orientation and training of new staff and manage priorities in a busy unit.

Additional certifications such as ACLS, PALS, or NRP may be required based on assigned work area.**Other Minimum Qualifications:** Keyboarding skills and computer literacy required, including use of electronic medical records.
