Inova Fair Oaks Hospital in Virginia is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Labor and Delivery Unit on a full-time night shift (3x12 hour shifts per week). Weekend/holiday/on-call requirements and a sign-on bonus with relocation are included.

The RN will provide skilled, compassionate care, collaborate with families and the healthcare team, and coordinate care across disciplines while pursuing ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Work hours: Full-time Night Shift 7:00 pm–7:00 am; 3x12-hour shifts weekly, 16 hours on-call in 6 weeks, 4 weekends per 6 weeks.
• Education: BSN from an accredited nursing program; ADN holders must complete BSN within 5 years of start date.
• Experience: 1 year RN experience in a critical care setting or completion of a CC fellowship.
• Certification: BLS required on start; ACLS within 6 months for CC units; PALS within 6 months for pediatric units; chemo certification within 3 months for Infusion Center.

• Collaborates with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure holistic care.
• Delivers patient/family-centered care and develops individualized care plans.

Minimum Qualifications

• Work schedule:Full-time Night Shift: 7:00pm-7:00am, 3x12 hour per week. | 16 hours of call in 6-week period |One major one minor holiday | 4 weekend shifts in a 6-week period
• Education:BSN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an Associate’s Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 5 years of start date.
• Experience: Required 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse, for Critical Care units, 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse in a critical care setting or completion of a critical care fellowship.
• Certification:Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification from the American Heart Association required upon start | For Critical Care Units: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support - Within 6 Months | For Pediatric Units: Pediatric Advanced Life Support- Within 6 Months | For Infusion Center Units: Obtain chemo card- within 3 months of hire
• Licensure: Licensed or eligible for licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse or an active multi-state Registered Nurse license

Preferred Qualifications

• (BSN) Bachelor of Science in Nursing
• Two years of recent Registered Nurse (RN) experience in an inpatient Labor and Delivery Unit.
• Proficient in Epic
