Job summary

Inova Loudoun Hospital is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Labor and Delivery team for full-time day shifts (7am–7pm). The role emphasizes comprehensive patient assessments, individualized care planning, and collaborative care across disciplines.

The candidate should have a BSN or be willing to obtain one within 5 years, and hold or be eligible for RN licensure in Virginia. BLS certification is required; 2 years of L&D experience is preferred.

Registered Nurse (RN) Job Responsibilities:

• Performs comprehensive patient health assessments by interpreting multiple data sets and synthesizing their interrelationships

• Formulates individualized plans of care based on assessment findings and interpreting trends in patient populations to achieve best practice

• Conducts all patient care in a patient and family centered manner, integrating knowledge, skills and experiences to meet the needs of patients and families throughout the continuum of care

• Advocates for patients' rights from the patient and family perspective and provides counsel while acting as a resource to resolve issues

• Accesses resources from all disciplines to achieve desired patient outcomes and coordinates healthcare and alternate services for patient/family transition planning

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education: BSN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an Associates Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 5 years of start date.

• Licensure: RN licensed, or eligible to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse.

• Experience:1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse

• Certification: BLS from the American Heart Association.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2 years of L&D experience.
