Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Mountainside Medical Center in Montclair, NJ, seeks a night-shift Labor & Delivery RN to deliver patient care across antepartum and postpartum stages, using the nursing process.

The unit is part of a large, 820,000-square-foot facility with 365 beds, 1,200+ staff, and a 27-bed Emergency/Fast Track Unit, supported by advanced technology to enhance care. ADN required; NJ RN license; 1 year of hospital RN experience; BLS within 14 days; NRP/ACLS within 6 months; BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• ADN required for RN licensure.
• 1 year of hospital RN experience required.
• NJ State RN license must be active.
• BLS certification due within 14 days of hire or transfer.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of patient care during antepartum and postpartum phases using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).

Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery, is responsible for the delivery of patient care through the antepartum and postpartum phases utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• Associate’s degree in nursing
• 1 year of experience as an RN in a hospital setting
• Current NJ State Registered Nurse license
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• NRP and ACLS to be completed within 6 months of employment.

Preferred Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in nursing

Rate of pay is determined based on experience and education and may include other pay components such as differentials and call pay based on role.
