Job summary

MedStar Health – Washington Hospital Center seeks an experienced Clinical Nurse II to deliver skilled, compassionate patient care across a range of needs, from routine to highly complex. You will evaluate patient conditions, identify health concerns, and craft care plans in collaboration with the nursing team.

Eligible IMC or Critical Care nurses are preferred, with a Bridge Program starting February 2027 for non-ICU applicants. Interviews for the February program begin in November.

Qualifications

• ADN, BSN, MSN, or CNL from an accredited School of Nursing required.
• 1 year RN experience required.
• Active MD RN License or Active Compact State RN and Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers required (AHA or American Red Cross).

Key Responsibilities

You will assess evolving patient conditions, identify actual and potential health concerns, and develop appropriate care plans. Interventions may be delivered directly or coordinated through collaboration with other members of the nursing team.

We are currently looking for Experienced Intermediate Care or Critical Care Nurses. If you do not have IMC or Critical Care experience, you may be eligible for our Bridge Program, which starts in February 2027. We’ll begin interviews for the February 2027 Bridge Program in November.
