Job summary

MedStar Health’s Washington Hospital Center is seeking a Clinical Nurse for the Intermediate Care Unit. The 16-bed unit supports high-flow oxygen and continuous IV meds, with potential expansion to 20 beds, collaborating with hospitalists and critical care providers.

You will assess evolving conditions, develop care plans, and coordinate interventions across the nursing team to ensure timely, safe patient care on this busy unit.

Qualifications

• ADN, BSN, MSN, or CNL from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Minimum of one year of IMC or related experience.
• Active MD RN License or Active Compact State RN and BLS for Healthcare Providers required.

Unit Highlights

As part of the critical care service line, our Intermediate Care Unit serves a variety of complex medical and surgical patients that need frequent monitoring and nursing interventions. A 16-bed unit with the ability to expand to 20 beds, when necessary, the nursing staff working closely with Hospitalists and Critical Care Medicine providers to ensure timely and appropriate care of patients requiring various levels of high flow oxygen therapy as well as continuous IV Medications. Available positions: Full-time: 7:00am-7:00pm

This position has a hiring range of

USD $36.50 - USD $60.34 /Hr.
