Job summary

MedStar Health’s Washington Hospital Center is seeking a Clinical Nurse to provide skilled, compassionate care across a spectrum of needs. You will assess evolving patient conditions, identify concerns, and develop care plans, coordinating interventions with the nursing team.

Responsibilities include direct patient care, collaboration with team members, and ensuring high standards of safety and quality in an acute medical setting.

Qualifications

• ADN, BSN, MSN, or CNL from an accredited School of Nursing required.
• Prior clinical nursing experience preferred.
• Active DC RN license and Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers required (AHA or American Red Cross).

Unit Highlights

Nurses on 1EIMC care for adult patients with acute medical diagnoses. The nurses give care to patients who require higher volume of care and more frequent monitoring. The nurses also take

care of patients undergoing bedside procedures which require moderate sedation, patients requiring continuous Bi-Pap, and patients with tracheostomies requiring ventilator support.

Key Responsibilities

As a Clinical Nurse, you will provide skilled, compassionate care to patients and families across a spectrum of needs—from routine to highly complex. You will assess evolving patient conditions, identify actual and potential health concerns, and develop appropriate care plans. Interventions may be delivered directly or coordinated through collaboration with other members of the nursing team.
