Job summary

MedStar Union Memorial Hospital is seeking an Intermediate Care (IMC) Registered Nurse for the night shift. You will deliver skilled, compassionate nursing care to cardiac patients and those recovering from amputations in a high-acuity IMC setting.

You will work with a collaborative team focused on mentorship, professional growth, and exceptional patient outcomes, while expanding your clinical judgment in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• ADN, BSN, MSN, or CNL from an accredited School of Nursing required.
• Active MD RN License or Active Compact State RN and Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers required (AHA or American Red Cross).

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled, compassionate care to patients and families across a spectrum of needs—from routine to highly complex.
• Assess evolving patient conditions, identify health concerns, and develop care plans.
• Collaborate with nursing team to coordinate interventions and ensure high-quality patient outcomes.

This unit primarily cares for cardiac patients, along with individuals recovering from amputations and managing congestive heart failure (CHF). Key Responsibilities

As a Clinical Nurse, you will provide skilled, compassionate care to patients and families across a spectrum of needs—from routine to highly complex. You will assess evolving patient conditions, identify actual and potential health concerns, and develop appropriate care plans. Interventions may be delivered directly or coordinated through collaboration with other members of the nursing team
