Job summary

MedStar Health’s Washington Hospital Center is seeking experienced Critical Care Nurses to provide skilled, compassionate care across a range of acuity. You will assess evolving conditions, plan care, and coordinate interventions with the nursing team to deliver patient-centered outcomes.

Bridge Program candidates without critical care experience may qualify for the February 2027 cohort; interviews begin in November. Relocation assistance and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• ADN, BSN, MSN, or CNL from an accredited School of Nursing required.
• 1 year RN experience required.
• Active MD RN License or Active Compact State RN and Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers required (AHA or American Red Cross).

Responsibilities

• Assess evolving patient conditions and identify actual and potential health concerns.
• Develop appropriate care plans and coordinate with the nursing team for interventions.
• Provide skilled, compassionate care across a spectrum of needs from routine to highly complex.

Key Responsibilities

As a Clinical Nurse, you will provide skilled, compassionate care to patients and families across a spectrum of needs—from routine to highly complex. You will assess evolving patient conditions, identify actual and potential health concerns, and develop appropriate care plans. Interventions may be delivered directly or coordinated through collaboration with other members of the nursing team

We are currently looking for Experienced Critical Care Nurses. If you do not have Critical Care experience, you may be eligible for our Bridge Program, which starts in February 2027. We will begin interviews for the February 2027 Bridge Program in November.
