Job summary

MedStar Montgomery Medical Center is seeking a Clinical Nurse for its 12-bed Intensive Care Unit in Olney, MD. Nurses work 12-hour day or night shifts (non-rotating) with self-scheduling and a dedicated charge nurse on each shift.

This Magnet-recognized facility treats a wide range of diagnoses and participates in stroke care. The ideal candidate holds ADN/BSN/MSN/CNL, has ICU experience, is licensed to practice in MD (or an eligible compact state) and is BLS-certified.

Qualifications

• ADN/BSN/MSN/CNL from an accredited School of Nursing required.
• Minimum of one year of ICU experience required.
• Active MD RN License or Active Compact State RN and Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers required.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled, compassionate care to patients and families across a spectrum of needs—from routine to highly complex.
• Assess evolving patient conditions, identify health concerns, and develop care plans.
• Interventions may be delivered directly or coordinated with other members of the nursing team.

The MedStar Montgomery Medical Center is a 120-bed full-service ANCC Magnet-recognized facility located in the historic enclave of Olney Maryland, situated nearly equally between Washington, D.C. and Baltimore Maryland, and is part of the 10-hospital MedStar Health system. The 12-bed ICU admits a wide array of patient diagnoses ranging from neuro, cardiac, G.I., renal and vascular ailments, to post-operative procedures. As part of an American Heart Association Gold-Plus Certified Primary Stroke Center, the ICU also manages patients recovering from acute strokes including those who have received thrombolytic therapy. Nurses work 12-hour day or night shifts (non-rotating) and participate in self-scheduling. Nurses are supported each shift with a dedicated charge nurse. Qualifications

This position has a hiring range of

USD $36.50 - USD $60.34 /Hr.
