ECU Health in Edenton, NC, is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse committed to providing high-quality patient care. In this role, you will coordinate nursing care based on the North Carolina Nurse Practice Act, ensuring compliance with professional standards.

Responsible to provide care in accordance with the North Carolina Board of Nursing‒Nurse Practice Act, American Nurses Association Standards of Practice, and other standards established by professional groups, regulatory bodies, and agents. Nursing care will be delivered following ECU Health and entity–specific policy, procedures and professional standards of care and practice.
Responsible for the provision and coordination of nursing care to include the collection and analysis of assessment data, identification of expected outcomes, and development of a plan of care in collaboration with the patient, family, and interdisciplinary team members. Identifies interventions to attain expected outcomes, implements the interventions, evaluates progress toward outcomes, and documents the process. This care includes sensitivity to age–specific and unique needs of the patient and family.
Promotes and evaluates the effective functioning of the health care team. Collaborates with team members to meet the identified needs of the patient and family throughout the episode of care. Delegates tasks and activities as appropriate and governed by the NC Nurse Practice Act.
$34.00 - $46.75 per hour. Final compensation will be based on career ladder placement.
ECU Health Chowan Hospital in Edenton is a 25‒bed critical‒access hospital that serves 110,000 people in six counties. The facility offers medical and surgical services, including intensive care, a specialty care clinic, and a dedicated outpatient surgery area with endoscopy capabilities. A 7‒bed emergency department serves approximately 15,000 patients per year. Team members have access to a telemedicine link with the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University.
