Black Women's Mental Health Institute seeks a Critical Care Registered Nurse (RN) to work in the Intensive Care Unit. You will provide direct care to critically ill adults, develop care plans, monitor patient conditions, and educate families as needed.
The role requires active Maine RN licensure or the ability to obtain it, with at least 1 year of acute care RN experience preferred and safety certifications such as BLS, ACLS, and MOAB desirable.
Critical Care Registered Nurse (RN) in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
Provide direct care to critically ill adult patients, develop and evaluate care plans, monitor and document patient conditions, collaborate across disciplines for comprehensive care, and educate patients and families based on their needs. Delegate tasks to ancillary staff and may precept students and new hires.
Active Maine RN licensure or ability to obtain, at least 1 year of RN experience in acute care (prior CCU experience preferred), and certifications such as BLS, ACLS, MOAB are desirable.
Plan and implement patient care, assess patient status, communicate effectively, coordinate transfers/discharges, and support psychosocial needs. The role requires adaptability for shift rotations and collaboration within a high-performing team in a state-of-the-art facility.
