Job summary

UP Health System - Marquette is seeking an Infusion RN to join our Oncology team in Marquette, MI. This role supports chemotherapy and immunotherapy administration, patient education, triage, and comprehensive assessments, collaborating closely with care teams to deliver patient-centered care.

We offer a 0.8 FTE (64 hours/pp) schedule on 8-hour day shifts, a $7,500 sign-on bonus for qualified applicants, and a meaningful mission to improve community health.

Qualifications

• Current Michigan RN license.
• Associate degree from an accredited nursing program; bachelor’s preferred.
• Experience in oncology nursing and chemotherapy administration.
• BLS Healthcare Provider certification.
• Oncology Nursing Society chemotherapy knowledge within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Performs plan-of-care interventions including medication administration and clinical treatments.
• Documents care provided in a timely, accurate manner.
• Monitors and communicates patient condition to care team and families.
• Assists with activities of daily living and mobility.
• Floats across units to support departments and staff.
• Coordinates care with transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial support.
• Assesses learning needs and provides patient/family education.
• Advocates for patient well-being and comfort.
• Participates in performance improvement and required education; may cover on-call shifts.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Join a compassionate Oncology team where nursing is more than a job-it's a meaningful partnership with patients throughout their cancer journey. You'll provide specialized care through chemotherapy and immunotherapy administration, patient education, telephone triage, and comprehensive assessments while collaborating closely with providers, navigators, case managers, social workers, radiation oncology, and palliative care teams. This role is ideal for nurses who excel at critical thinking, multitasking, and relationship-building, and who are passionate about delivering exceptional, patient-centered care during some of life's most challenging moments.

How You'll Contribute

• Performs plan-of-care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and related medical care.
• Documents care provided in a timely, accurate manner.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physicians, patients, and families.
• Assists with activities of daily living (hygiene, elimination, nutrition, ambulation).
• Displays initiative and flexibility to float throughout the building to support departments and staff.
• Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate care (transfers, discharges, referrals, psychosocial/spiritual support).
• Assesses learning needs; provides age- and culture-appropriate patient/family education.
• Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of patients.
• Participates in performance improvement and required education; works other shifts/units as needed and may take on-call assignments.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

Applicants should have a current Michigan RN license and possess an associate's degree from an accredited nursing school (bachelor's preferred).

• Oncology Nursing Society (ONS)/Chemo (within 1 year)
