Job summary

UP Health System - Marquette, part of Lifepoint Health, seeks an Infusion RN to deliver chemotherapy and immunotherapy, educate patients, perform assessments, and coordinate care with oncologists, navigators, and support teams.

Applicants should hold a Michigan RN license with an associates degree (bachelors preferred); BLS-HCP and ONS/Chemo within 1 year are required. This full-time role offers a 0.8 FTE schedule and a $7,500 sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• Current Michigan RN license.
• Associate’s degree in nursing; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• BLS-HCP certification required.
• Oncology Nursing Society (ONS)/Chemo within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Performs plan-of-care interventions including medication administration and related medical care.
• Documents care in a timely, accurate manner.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team.
• Assists with activities of daily living (hygiene, elimination, nutrition, ambulation).
• Float across departments to support staff and departments.
• Collaborates to coordinate transfers, discharges, referrals, psychosocial/spiritual support.
• Assesses learning needs; provides age- and culture-appropriate patient/family education.
• Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of patients.
• Participates in performance improvement and required education; may take on-call assignments and work other shifts/units.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Join a compassionate Oncology team where nursing is more than a job-it's a meaningful partnership with patients throughout their cancer journey.

You'll provide specialized care through chemotherapy and immunotherapy administration, patient education, telephone triage, and comprehensive assessments while collaborating closely with providers, navigators, case managers, social workers, radiation oncology, and palliative care teams. This role is ideal for nurses who excel at critical thinking, multitasking, and relationship-building, and who are passionate about delivering exceptional, patient-centered care during some of life's most challenging moments.

How you'll contribute

An Infusion RN who excels in this role:

• Performs plan-of-care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and related medical care.
• Documents care provided in a timely, accurate manner.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physicians, patients, and families.
• Assists with activities of daily living (hygiene, elimination, nutrition, ambulation).
• Displays initiative and flexibility to float throughout the building to support departments and staff.
• Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate care (transfers, discharges, referrals, psychosocial/spiritual support).
• Assesses learning needs; provides age- and culture-appropriate patient/family education.
• Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of patients.
• Participates in performance improvement and required education; works other shifts/units as needed and may take on-call assignments.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

What we're looking for

Applicants should have a current Michigan RN license and possess an associate’s degree from an accredited nursing school (bachelor's preferred).
