Job summary

UP Health System - Marquette is seeking an Infusion RN to join our Oncology team. You will provide chemotherapy and immunotherapy administration, patient education, and comprehensive assessments while collaborating with multidisciplinary staff.

The role requires an active Michigan RN license, an associate degree in nursing (bachelor's preferred), and BLS-HCP certification. Oncologic chemo experience is valued; a sign-on bonus of $7,500 is available for qualified applicants.

Qualifications

• Current Michigan RN license.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; associates required.
• BLS-HCP certification required.
• Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) chemo certification within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Administer chemotherapy and immunotherapy; monitor and educate patients.
• Document care in a timely, accurate manner and communicate patient status.
• Coordinate with providers, navigators, case managers and support teams to plan care.
• Support patients with daily living activities and safety needs.
• Be flexible to float across units and participate in on-call shifts as needed.

Join a compassionate Oncology team where nursing is more than a job-it's a meaningful partnership with patients throughout their cancer journey. You'll provide specialized care through chemotherapy and immunotherapy administration, patient education, telephone triage, and comprehensive assessments while collaborating closely with providers, navigators, case managers, social workers, radiation oncology, and palliative care teams. This role is ideal for nurses who excel at critical thinking, multitasking, and relationship-building, and who are passionate about delivering exceptional, patient-centered care during some of life's most challenging moments.

How you'll contribute

AnInfusion RN who excels in this role:

• Performs plan-of-care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and related medical care.
• Documents care provided in a timely, accurate manner.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physicians, patients, and families.
• Assists with activities of daily living (hygiene, elimination, nutrition, ambulation).
• Displays initiative and flexibility to float throughout the building to support departments and staff.
• Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate care (transfers, discharges, referrals, psychosocial/spiritual support).
• Assesses learning needs; provides age- and culture-appropriate patient/family education.
• Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of patients.
• Participates in performance improvement and required education; works other shifts/units as needed and may take on-call assignments.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

What we're looking for

Applicants should have a current Michigan RN license and possess an associate's degree from an accredited nursing school (bachelor's preferred).
