Job summary

UP Health System - Marquette is seeking an Infusion RN to join the Oncology team. You will provide chemotherapy and immunotherapy administration, patient education, and comprehensive assessments while collaborating with providers, navigators, social workers, and palliative care teams.

The role emphasizes critical thinking, multitasking, and strong patient-centered care during challenging moments. A Michigan RN license and oncology experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Current Michigan RN license.
• Associate's degree from an accredited nursing school (bachelor's preferred).
• Oncology Nursing Society (ONS)/Chemo within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Perform plan-of-care interventions including medication administration and clinical treatments.
• Document care in a timely, accurate manner.
• Monitor and communicate patient conditions to the care team and families.
• Assist with activities of daily living as needed.
• Float to support departments and staff as required.
• Coordinate care across disciplines (transfers, discharges, referrals).
• Provide age- and culture-appropriate patient/family education.
• Advocate for patients' physical and emotional well-being.

Join a compassionate Oncology team where nursing is more than a job-it's a meaningful partnership with patients throughout their cancer journey. You'll provide specialized care through chemotherapy and immunotherapy administration, patient education, telephone triage, and comprehensive assessments while collaborating closely with providers, navigators, case managers, social workers, radiation oncology, and palliative care teams. How You'll Contribute

An Infusion RN who excels in this role:

• Performs plan-of-care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and related medical care.
• Documents care provided in a timely, accurate manner.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physicians, patients, and families.
• Assists with activities of daily living (hygiene, elimination, nutrition, ambulation).
• Displays initiative and flexibility to float throughout the building to support departments and staff.
• Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate care (transfers, discharges, referrals, psychosocial/spiritual support).
• Assesses learning needs; provides age- and culture-appropriate patient/family education.
• Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of patients.
• Participates in performance improvement and required education; works other shifts/units as needed and may take on-call assignments.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

Applicants should have a current Michigan RN license and possess an associate's degree from an accredited nursing school (bachelor's preferred).
