ICU Department Highlights

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or Nursing Diploma required; BSN preferred.
• RN license required upon hire.
• Foreign education must meet CLIA regulations.
• BCLS certification required before providing independent care, maintained quarterly.
• ACLS certification within 90 days.
• NIHSS certification within 60 days.
• CPI training within 90 days.
• Minimum 1 year of clinical nursing experience or completion of RN residency.
• 2-3 years ICU experience preferred.

• Incorporate age-specific safety and infection control measures.
• Communicate effectively with patients and families.
• Ensure continuity of care across shifts and transfers.
