Job Summary and Qualifications

Under general supervision, the Staff RN provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures of Medical Center of Lewisville. In collaboration with the patient, patient’s family, and other members of the health care team, the clinical RN is responsible for assessing the nursing care needs of patients, planning interventions, and evaluating outcomes of care. The RN provides direct care and/or supervises nursing care of LVNs and non-licensed nursing staff. The RN is responsible for providing care consistent with the Nursing Department’s policies, procedures, and standards of practice.

What qualifications you will need:
  1. Neonate Resuscitate must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
  2. Registered Nurse licensed in the state of Texas or a compact license.
  3. Associate Degree in nursing required, BSN within 24 months of hire.
  4. Basic Cardiac Life Support, or BCLS Instructor must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  5. S.T.A.B.L.E certification must be obtained within 18 months of employment.
  6. Cardiac STABLE must be obtained within 18 months of hire.
  7. 1 year of level III NICU experience required.
