Job summary

UP Health System - Marquette is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Hospital Supervisor to coordinate staffing and provide direction in a meaningful healthcare setting. The role requires a current Michigan RN license and a bachelor's degree, preferably a master's. Qualifications

• Current Michigan RN license required.

• 2 years of supervisory experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Determine and supervise daily staffing assignments and levels.
• Provide direction, orientation, training, coaching, and mentoring to staff.
• Ensure compliance with departmental policies and protocols.
• Lead resolution of complex issues and complaints.

Skills

Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS-HCP)

2 years of supervisory experience

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

Education

Responsibilities

• Determines, coordinates and supervises daily staffing assignments and levels.
• Provides direction, orientation, training, coaching, and mentoring to staff. Performs or assists with performance evaluations and disciplinary actions.
• Assesses and ensures quality of services delivered and facilitates staff development programs. Ensures staff compliance with departmental and organizational policies, procedures, and protocols.
• Performs staff responsibilities as needed to fulfill required service levels.
• Leads the handling and resolution of complex issues and complaints.

Qualifications
