Position Summary:

Under the supervision of the Unit Manager/ADON/DON, the RN is responsible for a group of residents/patients during a shift. Nursing care includes assessment, implementation, and evaluation of the plan of care. The RN ensures standards of care are met, maintains a safe environment, and supervises nursing assistants and helpers. Follows all North Shore policies and procedures, complies with the State Nurse Practice Act, and adheres to JCAHO standards where applicable.

Requirements:

• Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State
• Current CPR certification
• Ability to use necessary supplies and equipment (feeding pumps, oxygen, treatment trays, medication cart, etc.)
• Meet all health requirements imposed by law
• Effective and positive communication with residents, families, community members, volunteers, and staff
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
• Basic computer skills with an aptitude to learn company applications
• Experience in a fast-paced environment
• Previous post-acute care experience preferred
