Summary of Position:

Under supervision of the Unit Manager/ADON/DON, the RN is responsible for a group of residents for a shift. Responsibilities include assessment, implementation, and evaluation of the care plan, ensuring standards of care, maintaining safety, supervising nursing assistants, and following all policies and procedures, including those mandated by the State Nurse Practice Act and JCAHO standards where applicable.

Requirements of the Position:

  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State
  • Current CPR certification
  • Ability to operate necessary supplies and equipment (feeding pumps, oxygen, treatment trays, medication cart, etc.)
  • Ability to calculate drug dosages
  • Meet all health requirements imposed by law
  • Positive and effective communication with residents, families, community members, volunteers, and staff
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English
  • Basic computer skills with willingness to learn company applications
  • Experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Post-acute care experience preferred
