Summary of Position:

Under the supervision of the Unit Manager/ADON/DON, the RN is responsible for a group of residents/patients during a shift. Responsibilities include assessment, implementation, and evaluation of the care plan. The RN ensures adherence to standards of care, maintains a safe environment, supervises nursing assistants and helpers, and follows all North Shore policies and procedures, as well as state and JCAHO standards where applicable.

Requirements of the Position:

• Licensed in the State as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• Current CPR certification
• Ability to operate necessary supplies and equipment (feeding pumps, oxygen, treatment trays, medication cart, etc.)
• Ability to calculate drug dosages
• Meet all health requirements as mandated by law
• Positive, effective communication skills with residents, families, community, and staff
• Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English
• Basic computer skills with aptitude to learn company applications
• Experience in fast-paced environments; post-acute care experience preferred
