Job summary

Texas Health Frisco is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for full-time evenings in Surgery. You will provide bedside care, assess patients, and implement the nursing process in a dynamic OR setting with robotic and bariatric surgery capabilities.

Requirements include an accredited RN program degree (Associate or Diploma; BSN preferred), RN licensure, BCLS and ACLS, CNOR preferred, and OR experience. Join a leading health system delivering high-quality care and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• RN with at least 1 year in a hospital OR setting required (or RN residency completion).
• ASN or Diploma RN; BSN preferred.
• RN upon hire; BCLS and ACLS required; CNOR preferred.
• One year OR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivers care to patients using the Nursing Process.
• Assesses the patient and plans the care of the patient.
• Intervenes as appropriate.
• Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions.
• Incorporates age-specific safety and infection control measures into patient care.
• Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant other's need for information.
• Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and during transfers.

Work location: Texas Health Frisco, 12400 N Dallas Parkway TX 75033

Work hours: Full Time, 40 Hours/Week; Evenings; Monday-Friday 1030-1900 or 0830-1900; On-Call (2 weekdays/1 weekend day per month); Flexibility to work day shift hours based on department needs and patient volume.

• Robust Unit Based Council (UBC) and engaged leadership team.
• 8 Operating Rooms Including 3 Robotic Operating Rooms
• Center of excellence for Bariatric surgery

Here’s What You Need

• Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program Or Diploma Nurse Program
• BSN preferred
• One-year experience as a registered nurse, or completion of an RN residency program.
• At least one year of Operating Room experience in a hospital setting (preferred)
• CNOR preferred
• RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire (Required upon hire)
• BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support (Required upon hire) AND
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support 90 Days Req

• Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
• Assesses the patient
• Plans the care of the patient
• Intervenes as appropriate
