Job summary

Texas Health Frisco is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for full-time evening shifts in the Surgery department. You will deliver patient-centered care using the Nursing Process, assess patients, plan and implement interventions, and ensure safe, high-quality outcomes.

Requirements include an accredited nursing program and RN license, with BSN preferred. BCLS and ACLS are required, CNOR preferred, and OR experience is desirable.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or diploma from an accredited nursing program.
• BSN preferred.
• One-year RN experience or completion of an RN residency.
• Operating Room experience preferred.
• CNOR preferred.
• RN license required on hire; BCLS and ACLS required within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Delivers care to patients using the Nursing Process.
• Assesses the patient and plans care.
• Intervenes as appropriate and documents actions.
• Evaluates outcomes and adjusts care as needed.

Work location:

Texas Health Frisco, 12400 N Dallas Parkway TX 75033

Work hours:

Full Time, 40 Hours/Week; Evenings; Monday-Friday 1030-1900; On-Call (2 weekdays/1 weekend day per month); Flexibility to work day shift hours based on department needs and patient volume.

Here’s What You Need

• Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program Or Diploma Nurse Program
• BSN preferred
• One-year experience as a registered nurse, or completion of an RN residency program.
• At least one year of Operating Room experience in a hospital setting (preferred)
• CNOR preferred
• RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire (Required upon hire)
• BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support (Required upon hire) AND
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support 90 Days Req

What You Will Do

• Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
• Assesses the patient
• Plans the care of the patient
• Intervenes as appropriate
• Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
• Incorporates age-specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
• Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant other’s need for information
• Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out-of-hospital transfers.
