Job summary

PAM Health Specialty Hospital of Heritage Valley is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide, direct, and supervise patient care on the medical-surgical unit. You will plan, coordinate, and deliver nursing services, including discharge planning and teaching for post-hospitalization needs.

ACLS and BLS certifications are required (ACLS within 90 days for Charge Nurses). A current RN license in the state (or compact) is necessary to join our team, with growth opportunities across our growing

• Current licensure as a registered nurse (RN) in the state where the hospital resides, or compact licensure if applicable.
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS certification required within 90 days of employment and AHА-approved.
• ACLS certification must be current for Charge Nurses.

Responsibilities

• Deliver, direct and supervise patient care using the nursing process on the unit.
• Coordinate discharge planning and teach patients and families for post-hospital care.
• Access community resources and participate in interdisciplinary care; may perform Charge Nurse duties.

Under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer/Director of Nursing, Nurse Manager or Charge Nurse, the Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for utilizing the nursing process while delivering, directing and supervising care to patients admitted to the nursing unit. The Registered Nurse plans, coordinates, and provides patient care to include interdisciplinary planning, discharge planning, patient and family teaching for post-hospitalization, and accessing community resources. May perform other related duties as assigned or requested, including Charge Nurse (ACLS certification required).

Education and Training: Holds a current licensure as a registered nurse (RN) in the state where the hospital resides, or compact licensure if state participates. Current BLS certification is required. Evidence of ACLS certification is required within 90 days of employment. BLS and ACLS certifications must be AHA approved within 90 days of employment. Current ACLS certification is required for Charge Nurses.

Experience: One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience preferred but not required.
