Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis, MO is seeking a Neurology RN to provide direct patient care on 8 East using the nursing process, collaborating with physicians and the care team, and documenting assessments and care plans.

New grads and experienced nurses are welcome for this full-time night position offering 36 hours per week, with weekend coverage and opportunities for skill development in neuro assessments and patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN, Diploma, or BSN).
• Active RN license in Missouri or a compact state.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (or within 30 days of hire).

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care using the nursing process.
• Perform ongoing patient assessments and care coordination.
• Document care plans and patient information accurately.

Schedule:Full-Time | 36 hours/week

Shift:Nights, Weekend | 7:00 PM - 7:00AM

About the Unit

Neurology 8 East cares for patients with conditions such as strokes, seizures, brain tumors, and brain bleeds. Nurses gain valuable experience with complex neuro assessments, safety‑focused care, and close collaboration with neurology providers and therapy teams.

About the Role

The Neurology RN provides direct patient care using the nursing process while collaborating closely with physicians and interdisciplinary teams. Responsibilities include ongoing patient assessments, care coordination, documentation, and delivering compassionate, patient‑centered care consistent with Mercy’s mission and values.

This role is ideal for nurses who enjoy clinical complexity, teamwork, and continuous skill development.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN, Diploma, or BSN)
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri or compact state
