Job summary

Vantage Search Group is seeking a Registered Nurse - Family Health for Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, NC. You will coordinate patient care with a broad healthcare team, ensure policy compliance, perform exams, provide education, administer medications, and supervise care.

The role requires an ADN from an NLNAC/CCNE-accredited program, 1 year of post-grad RN primary care experience, active RN license, BLS certification, and ability to obtain a government background clearance.

Qualifications

• Education: ADN from NLNAC/CCNE-accredited program.
• Experience: At least 1 year of post-grad RN primary care experience.
• Licensure: Active RN license in any state.
• Life Support: Maintains current AHA/ARC BLS certification.
• Security: Ability to pass government background check.

Job description

We have a new need for a Registered Nurse - Family Health at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, NC.

Job Specific Details:

• Coordinate patient care in collaboration with a wide array of healthcare professionals. Facilitate the achievement of optimal outcomes in relation to clinical care, quality and cost effectiveness.
• Ensure compliance with standards of care and practice in accordance with all established policies, procedures, and guidelines used in the facility.
• Perform physical exam and health histories.
• Provide health promotions, counseling, and education.
• Administer medications, wound care, and numerous other personalized interventions.
• Direct and supervise care provided by other healthcare professionals.
• Accountable for making patient care assignments based on the scope of practice and skill level of assigned personnel.
• Recognize adverse signs and symptoms and quickly react in emergency situations.
• Communicate and collaborate with a diverse group of people for the purpose of informing the healthcare team of plans/actions, for teaching/education to benefit the patient/family and organization.
• Make referral appointments and arrange specialty care as appropriate.
• Perform nursing services identified in the unit.
• Conduct research in support of improved practice and patient outcomes.

Work Schedule:

Monday - Friday, 9 hours between 6:30am and 5:30pm, with a one-hour lunch

No Weekends or Holidays

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education: Associates Degree of Nursing - graduate from a college or university accredited by National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC), or The Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
• Experience: Minimum one (1) year of recent post-grad RN clinical primary care experience.
• Licensure: Current, full, active, and unrestricted RN licensefrom any state.
• Life Support Certification: Maintain current AHA or ARC BLS Certification.
• Security: Must possess ability to pass a Government background check/security clearance.
