RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department at Clara Maass Medical Center in Belleville, NJ. This role offers a high-energy, collaborative environment with a focus on safe, evidence-based patient care while advancing clinical skills.

You will work 7a-7:30p, 37.5 hours per week, with rotating weekends and holidays, and have access to professional growth opportunities within a leading New Jersey health system.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey Registered Nurse license in good standing.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Two years of nursing and/or ER nursing experience preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing strongly preferred.
• CEN certification is a plus and comfort with EMR systems such as EPIC.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and recognize clinical changes, intervene early and advocate for patients.
• Administer safe, evidence-based medications and treatments.
• Collaborate with physicians and advanced providers to coordinate care.
• Educate patients and families clearly and compassionately.
• Document accurately in the electronic medical record to promote continuity and safety.
• Contribute to rounds and team discussions to improve transitions of care.

With over 700 physicians and 2,100 employees, we offer advanced treatment for a wide variety of medical conditions. In 2017, the Medical Center completed a state-of-the-art campus expansion featuring a new four-story 87,000 square foot building with a private, 32 bed Intensive Care Unit, new Main Entrance and Lobby, Retail Pharmacy, Patient Registration Area and newly expanded Emergency Department.

• Conducting comprehensive patient assessments and recognize subtle clinical changes, using your judgement to intervene early and advocate for your patients

To be considered for this RN opportunity, you must hold an active New Jersey Registered Nurse license in good standing and a current American Heart Association BLS certification.
