RWJBarnabas Health’s Clara Maass Medical Center in Belleville, NJ is seeking an attentive RN to join the Critical Care Float Pool. This role supports ER, ICU, and Observation units, delivering evidence-based care and collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary teams.

The successful candidate holds an active NJ RN license, BLS, and at least 2 years in ED or ICU, with BSN preferred and CCRN/CEN desired.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey RN license in good standing.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
• 2 years of ED and/or ICU nursing experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is strongly preferred (BSN).
• Certifications – CEN and CCRN are preferred.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record systems (EPIC).

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and recognize clinical changes.
• Provide safe, evidence-based medications, treatments and hands-on care.
• Collaborate with physicians and advanced providers for timely decisions.
• Educate patients and families clearly and compassionately.
• Document accurately in the EMR to ensure continuity and safety.
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and care transitions.
• Support continued professional growth through education and ladder opportunities.

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a highly dedicated Registered Nurse for our Critical Care Float Pool at Clara Maass Medical Center in Belleville, NJ. With over 700 physicians and 2,100 employees, we offer advanced treatment for a wide variety of medical conditions. In 2017, the Medical Center completed a state-of-the-art campus expansion featuring a new four-story 87,000 square foot building with a private, 32 bed Intensive Care Unit, new Main Entrance and Lobby, Retail Pharmacy, Patient Registration Area and newly expanded Emergency Department.

To be considered for this RN opportunity, you must hold an active New Jersey Registered Nurse license in good standing and a current American Heart Association BLS certification, and have 2 years of ED and/or ICU nursing experience. A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is strongly preferred, as is the following certifications – CEN and CCRN, and comfort with electronic medical record systems (EMR) like EPIC. In this position, you will work 11a - 11:30p, 1p-1:30p and 3p-3:30p based upon the needs of the departmentand float across the ER, Observation, and Critical Care units.
