Job summary

Willamette Valley Medical Center in McMinnville, OR seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) for Emergency Services. This union, full-time position offers nights with schedules 5:00p-5:30a or 7p-7:30a and a wage scale of $56.65–$78.08 per hour.

You will provide direct patient care in a fast-paced ED, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality outcomes. Applicants must hold a current RN license (state or compact) and an Associate's degree in nursing.

Qualifications

• Current state or compact RN license.
• Associate's degree in nursing required; BSN preferred.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS.
• Emergency Services experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs plan of care interventions including meds, specimens, and treatments.
• Documents patient care provided.
• Monitors and communicates patient condition to care team and family.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living and mobility.
• Coordinates patient care across disciplines and with transfers/discharges.
• Provides patient and family education tailored to age and culture.
• Maintains attendance and participates in ongoing education.
• Adapts shifts and units as needed.

As a Registered Nurse (RN) in our Emergency Department, you'll play a vital role in delivering high-quality, compassionate care to patients during some of their most critical moments. How you'll contribute

A Registered Nurse (RN) who excels in this role:

• Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care activities.
• Documents patient care provided.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial/spiritual support needs.
• Evaluates patient and family learning needs and provides appropriate education based on age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
• Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.
• Provides quality patient care and works flexible shifts or units as needed.
• Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

What we're looking for
