Job summary

Willamette Valley Medical Center in McMinnville, Oregon, is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Emergency Department team. This union position offers night shifts, comprehensive wage scale, and opportunities to provide high-quality care in a fast-paced setting.

As a critical member of the ED, you will deliver direct patient care, document care provided, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal outcomes while supporting professional growth and clinical

Qualifications

• Current state or compact state RN license.
• Associate's degree from an accredited nursing school.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care activities.
• Documents patient care provided.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial/spiritual support needs.
• Evaluates patient and family learning needs and provides appropriate education based on age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
• Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.
• Provides quality patient care and works flexible shifts or units as needed.

What We’re Looking For

Applicants should have a current state or compact state RN license and possess an associate's degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:

• Certifications: BLS / ACLS / PALS
• Experience: Previous Emergency Services Preferred
• Licenses: Must have a current state or compact state RN license.
• Education: Associate's degree required. BSN preferred.
