MetroHealth Main Campus Emergency Department is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Level 1 Trauma Center team. You will perform patient assessments, triage, and trauma care for acute pediatric to adult patients in a high-volume ED.

Responsibilities include IV insertion, blood draws, Foley catheter placement, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. Ohio RN licensure and required certifications are essential, with rotating shifts and weekend/holiday duties.

Qualifikationen

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing and active Ohio RN licensure.
• Current BLS and ACLS (or obtained within 90 days of hire).
• PALS certification or obtained within 6 months of hire.
• TNCC certification or obtained within 1 year of hire.
• NIHSS Stroke certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
• PRN requires 1 year of RN experience and all certifications upon hire.

Aufgaben

• Perform rapid and focused patient assessments in a Level 1 Trauma ED.
• Conduct patient triage and trauma care for acutely ill patients.
• Administer IVs, draw blood, and insert Foley catheters as needed.
• Demonstrate time management and critical thinking in a fast-paced ED.
• Collaborate with LPNs, PCNAs, BOs, and providers to coordinate care.

Primary Patient Population:

• Acutely ill pediatric to adult patients
• Level 1 Trauma Center

Primary skills utilized/learned:

• Patient Assessments
• Patient Triage

Personnel RN will work with:

• LPNs, Paramedics, Patient Care Nursing Assistants (PCNAs), Behavioral Observers (BO), Providers

Number of beds on unit:

• 93 beds (Clinical Decision Unit (CDU) included)
• 10 Trauma Bays
• 80k+ patient visits annually

• Stroke Certified

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (or a program seeking accreditation).
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio
• Current AHA BLS, ACLS or obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Current PALS certification or obtained within 6 months of hire.
• Current TNCC certification or obtained within 1 year of hire.
• Current NIHSS Stroke certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
• PRN requires 1 year of relevant RN experience
• PRN must possess all required certifications upon hire

Preferred Qualifications:

• BSN
• Professional Certification recognized by the Magnet Association
• NRP Certification
