Job summary

Jobot is seeking a full-time Emergency Department Registered Nurse to deliver compassionate, high-quality care to patients with urgent and complex medical needs in our New Braunfels hospital.

You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate individualized nursing care, administer medications, monitor patient status, document outcomes, and coordinate with physicians and the clinical team to ensure safe, efficient care.

Qualifications

• Active Texas RN license or multistate compact RN license.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
• At least one year of Emergency Department or related acute care nursing experience preferred.
• Current BLS certification required at the time of hire.
• ACLS certification required or obtained within onboarding period.
• PALS certification required or obtained within onboarding period.
• TNCC certification required or obtained within onboarding period.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, documentation, and patient care skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care for Emergency Department patients.
• Provide routine and complex care in a fast-paced acute care environment.
• Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols.
• Monitor patients for changes in condition, treatment effectiveness, and potential side effects.
• Document patient histories, symptoms, medications, treatments, and clinical outcomes.
• Address the psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and their families.
• Educate patients, family members, and caregivers regarding treatment plans, follow-up care, and available resources.
• Coordinate with physicians, nurses, and other clinical team members to ensure safe and efficient patient care.
• Delegate responsibilities appropriately and assist with managing changing clinical priorities.
• Complete required Emergency Department onboarding, orientation, and annual competency validations
