Job summary

New Braunfels ER & Hospital in New Braunfels, TX is seeking a qualified Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) for a full-time position. You will deliver acute care, perform rapid assessments, and support a fast-paced ED team.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years ER experience, a nursing degree, current state licensure, BCLS/CPR, ACLS/PALS or ENPC, and TNCC preferred; fluent English and strong collaboration with physicians and staff are essential.

Qualifications

• Two years of emergency room experience.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Licensure with the State Board of Nurse Examiners for their state.
• Current BCLS/CPR, ACLS, PALS or ENPC, and TNCC preferred.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients on arrival with head-to-toe evaluations and triage to determine urgency.
• Provide emergency care to patients of all ages following established protocols.
• Administer medications accurately while following the five rights.
• Supervise ERTs and other staff to maintain an efficient workflow.
• Communicate care plans and educate patients and families.
• Collaborate with physicians to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Maintain infection control and promote patient safety.
• Engage in ongoing education and quality improvement activities.
