MaineHealth is seeking an experienced RN to join the Emergency Department at Stephens Hospital on a full-time, 36-hour night shift. The role involves caring for patients of all ages in a fast-paced ED, working with a collaborative team of physicians, APPs, nurses, and support staff.

The Stephens Hospital Emergency Department provides care to patients of all ages with a wide variety of medical, surgical, orthopedic, behavioral health, and traumatic conditions. As an Emergency Department RN, you'll work alongside experienced physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, and support staff in a fast-paced environment where teamwork, communication, and critical thinking are essential. This is a PER DIEM Registered Nurse II vacancy open to candidates with 0 to 1 year of RN work experience

Summary:
The MH Registered Nurse - Acute Care role provides high quality patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient outcomes. Collaborates, delegates, and communicates with members of the healthcare team to ensure optimal care.
MH RN II: This level is competent in their clinical role and has demonstrated the ability to care for most patients assigned. Though not able to care for every patient type within their area of hire, demonstrates how to obtain the appropriate resources to develop required skills and knowledge over time. This level includes automatic advancement after 1 year as a RN I - must be in good standing and meets RN I requirements.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

1. Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required; BSN preferred.
2. Licensure/Certification: Current applicable state(s) license as a Registered Professional Nurse required. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date. Other certifications may be required specific to area of practice or in accordance with Department guidelines.
3. Experience: One year of recent RN experience required. Automatic advancement from RN I level if all onboarding requirements are complete, including the New Grad Residency (where available).

The pay range for this position is $37.09to $50.17 per hour.

Compensation for part-time positions isdeterminedon a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
